Sonja van der Merwe

Sonja, together with Anton Kühn, is the founding member of Honesta Investments Number One cc.
She started as an IT assistant at the Sanlam Namibia Technology Support department in 1998. During 1999 she moved to Hoogland Branch of Sanlam Namibia as assistant to the branch manager where she also developed a database for short term insurance purposes. During 2003 she joined a Sanlam advisor as assistant and they started to specialise in investments and savings instruments. She obtained accreditation to be a financial advisor early in 2010 with accreditation in investment planning. She also obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science: Software Engineering at UNISA in 2010.
Honesta Investments Number One cc was founded in 2015 and she became an independent broker in this brokerage. She continued her research and active management in the field of wealth. Sonja is dedicated to provide colleagues and clients with only the best support to assist with decisions in this ever-changing world of savings, investments and the long term insurance industry.
Anton Kühn
Member/broker
Anton is a founding member of Honesta Investments. For many years, he was a broker consultant and he has vast experience of the life insurance industry and key role players. He is still dedicated to provide clients with only the best advice and help them make important decisions when it comes to life insurance, retirement planning and investment advice.
Floris Botha
Broker
Floris has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioural Sciences. He has been the Top Achiever in Electronics and Computer Studies in his final year at school. He has joined the industry in 2012 and completed the courses in financial planning and investment planning in 2012 and 2013 respectively. He is also an accredited PPS broker. Floris is a very analytical broker who takes great care in precision and integrity.
Anja Wessels

Anja has been a very successful broker consultant at a respected insurer as from 2004 to 2016. She then moved to a banking institution as a financial advisor from 2016 until she decided to join our team as from 2019. She has very good knowledge of the life insurance industry, is PPS accredited and is a dedicated, motivated and very professional broker. She is a very good golfer and certainly a lady to keep into consideration!
Hugo Lambrechts

Hugo joined our team during 2019. He started his long term insurance career at a well-known life insurer during 2013. Apart of completing his financial planning 1 and 2 courses, he is studying to obtain his CFP qualification. For three (3) recent consecutive years (2017, 2018 and 2019) he was part of the Top 10 PPS brokers team in Namibia. He was also the Sanlam (Entry Level Marketers) Affluent Advisor of the Year for 2018. He was also the Sanlam (Entry Level Marketers) Affluent Advisor of the Year for 2018. He obtained his Sanlam Eagle membership in the same year. He has a very positive attitude, is very meticulous and is definitely a people person!
André Brynard

André comes from a family with a life-long dedication to the life insurance industry. They are well-known in Namibian business circles as successful and respected financial experts. Andre studied B Comm. Entrepreneurship at the University of Stellenbosch. He obtained his certificate in scuba diving in 2011 and in 2012 he received his certificate for a skipper on sea vessel. He was also a Namibian rugby player as from 2003 to 2007. He joined his family during 2013 in their life insurance business and he decided to join our team during 2019. He is an accredited PPS broker. André is a very friendly, disciplined, adaptive and trustworthy individual.
Bertus Nel
Broker
Bertus is a financial adviser since 2008. During 2008 and 2009 he completed his financial training courses. He is PPS accredited and is exceptionally well in comparing different products amongst different insurers. He comes from a family with vast experience in the banking industry and he places a high premium on honesty and transparency. He is also a bold golf-player with a Hole-in-One certificate on his list of achievements to prove that!
